Elise joins the Council on East Asian Studies as a recent graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to coming to Yale University, she has worked in events and development support at the Asian Studies Center at the University of Pittsburgh and the World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh. Since 2014, she has also volunteered as the programming manager at the Pittsburgh Japanese Culture Society.

Elise earned her undergraduate degree in Business Administration, specializing in Global Management, Korean Language, and Asian Studies. Her interest in the Korean language has led her to study at both Sogang University and Yonsei University, through multiple U.S. Department of State programs.
