Please join us for a special presentation examining the three principal contacts between Yale and China in the nineteenth century: (1) Yale-educated missionaries, (2) Yung Wing, the first Chinese to graduate from any American college, and (3) the Chinese Educational Mission of 1872-1887, which brought about 25 Chinese to study at Yale. Slides will provide pictures and maps of early Yale history and of the key figures involved in this tale.
