2017 Williams Prize Winners Announcement

The Council on East Asian Studies is happy to announce the winners of the 2017 Williams Prize Competition:

Max Goldberg (Pierson College) for his essay submitted to the Program on Ethics, Politics, & Economics, Enclave of Ingenuity: The Plan and Promise of the Beijing Intellectual Property Court

Ryan Hintzman (Silliman College) for his essay submitted to the Department of Comparative Literature, Chinese Wines and Foreign Urns: Making Objects of Lyric

Lucy Wang (Morse College) for her essay submitted to the Program on Ethics, Politics, & Economics, Artists and Art Museums in Shanghai: Navigating and Escaping Political and Economic Hegemony.

Claire Williamson (Jonathan Edwards College) for her essay submitted to the East Asian Studies Program, A Coffee-Scented Space: Historical, Cultural, and Social Impacts of the Japanese Kissaten
