The ouster and subsequent stabbing attack on Ming Pao Daily News ex-Chief Editor Kevin Lau have drawn protestors into Hong Kong’s streets and put a global spotlight on the future of the city’s autonomy and press freedoms under “One Country, Two Systems.” This panel discussion focused on the past, present, and future of Hong Kong’s Chinese-language media and its role in Greater China’s economic and cultural life.
