Hosted by Emily Baum, Associate Professor of History, UCI; Denise Ho, Associate Professor of History, Yale University.

With the slow but steady reopening of China to researchers, scholars are beginning to restart their long-delayed research projects. However, there has thus far been little information about what research conditions are like on the ground. This webinar series will feature speakers who have each returned to China within the past six months to conduct research and engage in academic exchange. They will share their experiences and offer advice on how to prepare, what to expect, and how to overcome possible barriers to access and collaboration.

Featuring:

Jian Ren (Rutgers)
Yajun Mo (Boston College)
James Watson-Krips (Princeton)
