Professor Frances Rosenbluth recipient of the William Clyde DeVane Award for Distinguished Teaching and Scholarship.

February 16, 2018

Yale’s chapter of Phi Beta Kappa has selected our colleague and friend Frances Rosenbluth as this year’s recipient of the William Clyde DeVane Award for Distinguished Teaching and Scholarship.

Each year at its annual spring banquet, the Alpha of Connecticut confers the DeVane Medal on members of the faculty who have distinguished themselves as teachers of undergraduates in Yale College and as scholars in their fields. Seniors in Yale College who have been elected into the chapter after four, five, or six terms of enrollment select a member of the active faculty who has been teaching at Yale for at least five years.

This award has special meaning at Yale because it is the oldest teaching prize in the College, and it is the only one selected entirely by undergraduate students.

Congratulations Frances!
